The UIA sports and leisure
programme is one of many programmes and workgroups
which support the work of the UIA, by forming
specialist groups of Architect Experts to work
on specific areas of building types and influences
on the field of architecture.
Its terms of reference are
included on this website, together with a list
of its acivities over the 40 years of its existence.
The membership is made up
of architects who specialize in the field of sports
and leisure facilities, and who have been nominated
by their national associations, together with
expert architects who have been invited because
of their specialist knowledge and contribution
to the field.
The programme is one of the
groups who have been selected by the UIA to have
a wide international remit across the 5 UIA regions.
